I service with the 2nd ballalion 327 th infantry in ashau valley, wounded May 05,1968, never did received my purple heart and I stay 3 weeks in the hospital in Japan , was transferred to korea the rest of my tour.
Firebase Bastogn (pretty sure)...just before catching bird back to Camp Eagle and then back to "the world"...
So funny those days...one minute you are in the bush....48 hours later you're eating hamburgers with your family at a fast food restaurant in Tacoma (the shock of it all).
